The overall aim of this project is to make students and teachers aware of the commercial sexual exploitation of children, especially in the tourism industry, and make them participate in the fight against the trafficking of children.
The main outcome of this project will be a website which will enable students to set up a fact finding file for each of our countries with regard to the importance of the phenomenon and the means of fighting it. To distribute the information collected throughout schools in their regions and communicate to other countries. The website will allow schools outside the project to request information and provide a guide to where the problem is greatest.
On completion, students and teachers will be aware of the problems of the victims and how they can help. A short film will be made and disseminated to warn possible offenders of what they risk in the way of punishment; what is and isn’t morally acceptable. To influence the laws in the various countries included in the project and make a practical use of legislation. Design a toy that shows child abuse, this may be a baby or some other toy.
