As countries in the Europe Union grow closer, schools within the Union are to contribute to emphasize and improve the understanding between people. To start this process, develop it  and keep it going means of communication between young people in different countries of Europe is essential.
When learning about similarities, but also differences, in Europe, in order to reach understanding, the context of education is important to improve understanding of differences in conditions and situations of people in European cultures. Through a pedagogical education the process of learning about this, on different levels of understanding, shall start, develop and improve in the context of this project.
Examples of levels of understanding in the subject of Tourism for everybody are legislation, infrastructural items, education, activities in leasuretime, trade and tourism.

An investigation carried out in 1993 by cabinet TOUCH ROSS  revealed that there are 37 million people handicapped in Europe. Most of them are eager to travel and greatly interested in visiting our beautiful countries, drawn by our inheritance, steeped in history and our superb coastlines. To these millions we can add
- the temporarily handicapped (various fractures…),
- the elderly, whose number is constantly increasing (the age often brings a reduction of mobility, sensory, visual and ear impairments),
- families with infants.
We can estimate up to 300 million additional nights for hotel-owners, and 130 million extra excursions for the Tourist Offices, the "market" of accessible tourism.
Faced with this significant market, we decided to launch a school project, Comenius, at the European agency. This bring together six European establishments for a reflection on the integration of the handicaps in tourist activities. This project is planned to last for three years. In the long term, it should make it possible to evaluate the feasibility of the installation of a European label of accessibility
